This beautiful program combines the charming landscapes of the Sacred V alley with visits to archaeological sites of great interest such as Moray, an ancient experimentation site of the Incans, and the salt flats of Maras, one of the best places to take a moderately easy hike. Day 1: Cuzco (3,350m/10,990ft)-Moray (3,550/11,646ft)-Las Salinas de Maras (3,055/9,165ft)-Ollantaytambo /2,700/8,858ft.)

• Bus departure from Cusco at 7am, hotel pick-up
• Walk between the archeological site of Moray and the salt flats of Maras, the majority of which is a gradual descent the walk begins in a verdant valley through cultivated fields where you find farmers working their land. The vegetation is typical of the region. For example, the cactus Maguey Is one of the oldest, and from which they take the bulky fiber to create various costumes. On the horizon is the majestic mountain range Vilcabamba with snowy peaks on Verónica, the glacier of Chicón and also, Pumahuanca
• After lunch we arrive on foot to the village of Ollantaytambo, a true living museum and archeological site. This was once the original bastion before Machu Picchu, with sun temples comprised of megalithic stones. The basin of Ñusta is an example of the Inca cosmovision of three worlds
• In the night we offer a traditional dinner with the famous Pachamanca: different meats, cheeses and vegetables accompany potatoes cooked slowly over hot stones in an earth oven. The night is spent in a camping lodge on the banks of the river Vilcanota. Beneath the stars, enjoy a warming camp-fire.
• Descent: 440 meters
• Ascent: 90 meters

Day 2: Ollantaytambo-Machupicchu-Cusco

• Breakfast at the lodge before arrival at the train station
• Excursion on train to the lost city of the Incas
• Bus to the archaeological complex of Machupicchu
• Guided tour of Machupicchu. The sanctuary preserves its secrets, suspended in a lost jungle that constantly hides and reveals itself in the clouds of the tropical jungle
• Return, transfer to station, hotel
