This beautiful program combines the charming landscapes of the Sacred Valley with visits to archeological sites of great value such as Moray. There, you will discover the ancient sites of agricultural experimentation by the Incans and the salt flats of Maras add a special touch to one of the best sites for a gentle walk. The day ends with an excursion to the archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo, the original fortress of the Incas. Day 1: Cusco (3,350m/10,990 ft.)-Moray (3,550m/11,646 ft.)-The Salt Flats of Maras (3,055m/9,165ft.)-Ollantaytambo (2,700m/8,858ft)

• Bus departure from Cusco at 7pm.
  

  

• Walk between the archeological site of Moray and the salt flats of Maras, the majority of which is a gradual descent. The walk begins in a verdant valley through cultivated fields where you find farmers working their land. The vegetation is typical of the region. For example, the cactus Maguey Is one of the oldest, and from which they take the bulky fiber to create various costumes. On the horizon is the majestic mountain range Vilcabamba with snowy peaks on Verónica, the glacier of Chicón and also, Pumahuanca
• After lunch we arrive on foot to the village of Ollantaytambo, a true living museum and archeological site. This was once the original bastion before Machu Picchu, with sun temples comprised of megalithic stones. The basin of Ñusta is an example of the Inca cosmovision of three worlds.
• Return to Cusco
• Length of walk: 4-5 hours
• Descent: 440 meters
• Ascent: 90 meters
